Holly Terry is an Australian-based visual artist and art and design writer, recognised for her large-scale, highly gestural abstract paintings. Her practice resists traditional narrative frameworks, instead operating as an intuitive visual language through which she explores the notion of energetic exchange.
Drawing loosely from the rhythms and nuances of everyday life, Holly’s work seeks to uncover moments of playfulness, lightness, and subtle contradiction, often emerging through slogans and repetitive motifs which function as visual anchors and fragments of meaning within her compositions.
Holly has exhibited widely across Australia, Denmark, and the United States, with galleries including Saint Cloche, Wentworth Galleries, Michael Reid Northern Beaches, Galleri Christoffer Egelund and Galerie Ground, Los Angeles. Her work is held in private collections both nationally and internationally.
